I would recommend this build for anyone wanting a nice pet project, something to experiment on while trying something new. This character is a very solid mapper with mediocre bossing. With alterations and dedication to gearing this character can absolutely do pinnacle fights reliably. Even in it's current state I am able to do sirus, synth maps and all the guardians. I will try Maven also but have not had the chance yet.
This build has many different options and ways you can play it, I am displaying my setup but will also give suggestions and variations to consider. Please keep in mind I am on SSF so some of my choices are made due to that fact.
(when switching between gear/gem setup make sure to enable the correct calculations example disable spell totem enable controlled destruction)
BOSSING NOTES: If you have rain of splinters and the rest of your gear is mediocre I would recommend taking it off against pinnacle boss fights. Also if you get a white socket for one of the green gem slots you can swap out LMP for a damage support like controlled destruction/added lightning for pinnacle fights which makes the fight much faster.
Gearing, please keep in mind all gear mods are listed in order of priority from MOST to LEAST important.
Weapon: Spell damage, lightning damage, flat lightning damage to spells (only if t1-2 roll), +1 level of lightning, cast speed, mana
Body armour (rare): Life, resistance, total resistance, chaos resistance, % life & mana (craft), flat dex if desperate
Eater of worlds: Wrath aura effect Searing Exarch: lightning damage OR tempest shield effect
Body armour (unique): Soul mantle, you also need kikazaru ring and must take the Asylum node. This also lets us use self flagellation which gives a LOT of damage.
Shield (shaper influence): Life, +1 maximum summoned totem, mana or life on block (life is best but both are good), chaos resistance, flat mana, resistance
Gloves: Life, dexterity, resistance, chaos resistance, mana
Eater of worlds: Lightning exposure on hit Searing Exarch: Unnerve on hit
Boots: Life, movement speed, resistance, chaos resistance, mana
Eater of worlds: cooldown recovery rate Searing Exarch: drop scorched ground on moving
Helmet: Life, resistance, chaos resistance, mana
Eater of worlds: Damage penetrates lightning resistance OR spell damage Searing Exarch: Elemental weakness curse effect OR flat lightning damage to spells
Ring 1: Life, dexterity, conductivity (or ele weakness) on hit, cast speed, lightning damage, resistance, chaos resistance NOTE: ignore curse on hit if you are self cursing with poachers mark!!
Ring 2: Life, dexterity, cast speed, lightning damage, resistance, chaos resistance
Alternate ring (soul mantle only)
Amulet: Life, dexterity, +1 level of lightning/spell, cast speed, lightning damage, resistance, chaos resistance
ANNOINT OPTIONS: Kikazaru. If you get a few of these I would strongly recommend double corrupting them. Also if you are going soul mantle DO NOT FORGET to take asylum on the tree
adjacent animosity- is in my opinion the strongest option
ash, frost and storm- cheap damage option
Revelry- defencisve annoint
Belt (stygian vise): Life, dexterity, resistance, chaos resistance, mana
Eye jewel: life, mana, cast speed, lightning damage to spells
Large cluster jewel (lightning damage): storm drinker, scintillating idea
Medium cluster jewel (totem damage): sleepless sentries, ancestral reach (for mapping), ancestral might (if bossing more)
Jewels: life, mana, lightning damage, cast speed, spell damage
